Penn GIS Day

Penn GIS Day highlights the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Pennsylvania, in the community at large and provides a venue for professional collaboration. The program features Michael T. Jones, Chief Technology Advocate for Google and co-inventor of Google Earth, who will discuss two of the newest and most transformative geographic information tools from Google, Field Trip and the Niantic Project. Penn’s leading GIS faculty including Dana Tomlin, Professor of Landscape Architecture and Amy Hillier, Professor Assistant Professor in City and Regional Planning will share current research findings and practical applications. The day concludes with a career panel and networking reception.
